Lady Mariko was purchased for 25,000gns from the Tattersalls Guineas HIT Sale as a 67 rated maiden from the Simon & Ed Crisford stable. After just over a month in full training with Dylan, she won her first start in the Quest colours in game fashion at Wetherby under the Callum Rodriguez drive, before doubling up next time at Great Yarmouth. 

The latter win was preceded by Cathedral Peak breaking her respective maiden tag, bringing up a memorable double for Quest on the card. Lady Mariko then had excuses at Newmarket before a huge run from a unfavourable draw to finish 5th of 22 in a £100,000 Fillies’ Handicap at York’s Ebor Festival. Three third place finishes between Sandown and Ascot since then have proven her to be a real model of consistency. 

She won impressively on Easter Bank Holiday at Kempton, dropped back to 6F for the first time on her four-year-old reappearance and we are very excited to see how much she can improve this season.
