Bought for 18,500gns by Jordan and Matt Coleman of Stroud Coleman Bloodstock in the Tattersalls September Online Sale 2023, Asgard’s Captain has improved almost 30lbs to date since winning off a mark of 63 on his first start for the stable back in January 2024. 

Winning four races on the all-weather during the winter period, he also placed in a ten-furlong handicap at Windsor, before a gallant effort to be 3rd in the Northern Dancer Handicap at Epsom on Derby Day in 2024. In 2025 he took his level of form to new heights when running away with the historic Great Metropolitan Handicap at Epsom, before landing the lucrative Sky Bet Handicap at York’s Ebor Festival, worth £110,000. 

He ran three good races in Dubai over the winter picking up nearly £19,000 in prize money, and will now head back to Epsom to defend his Great Metropolitan crown onto the Northern Dancer on Derby Day, all being well.
